Alison Coffee

Physiotherapist

Allied Health Lewisham Avenue

Alison grew up in Nepal and then moved to Wagga for high school, before completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at CSU in Albury. Growing up she loved hiking, playing hockey, playing the clarinet and singing. Alison has recently returned to Wagga with her young family to settle here.

Alison began her Physiotherapy career working at a large hospital in Sydney including time spent in paediatrics. She has worked in rural hospitals in Victoria and NSW, before moving to Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory and working in a Paediatric Physio practice with remote indigenous and non-indigenous kids.

She loves working with babies and kids, and has completed further training in developmental assessments, paediatric neurological and orthopaedic conditions, the 'Team Around the Child' framework and Health Coaching.

Why do you love being a Physiotherapist?

I love working with children and families to achieve their movement and functional goals, which enables them to participate in school and community activities. Seeing a child's sense of achievement and pride in themselves is very rewarding, as is walking alongside families through the challenging experiences that life presents them with.
